NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Friday released photos of two men accused of chasing, beating then robbing a man of his cellphone on a Manhattan street last week.
At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24, a 23-year-old man was in the vicinity of 22nd Street and 7th Avenue in Chelsea when he became involved in a verbal dispute with a group of suspetcs.
The dispute escalated into a physical altercation where two men from the group chased the victim across the street.
Acting in concert, the men repeatedly punched and kicked the victim in the head while he was on the ground and took his cellphone.
The suspects then fled on foot northbound on 7th Avenue toward 23rd Street.
The victim was transported by private means to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital in stable condition.
