Man choked out, robbed of $14K Rolex in 14th Street subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man was choked unconscious and robbed of his $14,000 watch early Friday morning at a 14th Street subway station in the West Village.

The 26-year-old victim was entering the 14th Street/Eighth Avenue station on the A/C/E and L lines shortly after 1 a.m. when he was choked from behind, police said.

He lost consciousness during the attack and awoke to find his pricey Rolex missing, according to police.

He was removed from the scene and treated at an area hospital.

No arrests have been reported, or suspect descriptions released, as police continue to investigate.
