NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was found stabbed to death inside a Crown Heights apartment early Monday after another man covered in blood walked into a nearby police precinct to alert authorities.

According to officials, the man entered the 77th Precinct around 3 a.m., prompting officers to respond to a home on Troy Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed bloody footprints leading into a first-floor apartment.

Inside, police discovered a 56-year-old man lying face-up with multiple stab wounds to his chest and arms. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene around 3:30 a.m.

Investigators recovered a bloody kitchen knife and a pair of scissors from the apartment. The 58-year-old man who initially alerted police with blood on his hands is being questioned, but no arrests have been made at this time.
