NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 41-year-old man was killed early Monday morning when he crashed a stolen car into a building in Brooklyn—a wreck that split the vehicle in half.
The man, who hasn’t been identified, was pronounced dead at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County following the crash around 1:45 a.m.
According to police, the deceased stole a Honda Civic that had been left running at the corner of Regent Place and Flatbush Avenue in Flatbush.
He drove the vehicle more than a mile south, where he ultimately crashed it at Avenue J and Flatbush Avenue in Flatlands.
The violent collision split the sedan in two at the intersection, Citizen App video shows.
No other injuries were reported in the theft or the crash.
