NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was apparently mauled by his own dogs before he was found dead in his home at a Brooklyn trailer park this week, according to a report.

Sources and police told the New York Post that the 39-year-old, wheelchair-bound man had cuts and puncture wounds to his body that appeared to be bites from his three pit bulls.

He was found unresponsive at his home near Dumont Avenue and Ruby Street in East New York before he was declared dead, according to the report.

The city medical examiner’s office is now trying to figure out if he was killed by the dogs or if he died and was then mauled, police told the Post.

Animal Care and Control has since taken the dogs, according to the report.
