NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 30-year-old man who was shot in the torso in front of a building in the Bronx in October has succumbed to his injuries, the NYPD said Thursday.

Police are still searching for the gunman who shot Peart: a 20- to 30-year-old man who was last seen wearing a black and red baseball cap, a white hooded sweatshirt with a Nike logo on the front, blue jeans and multi-colored sneakers.

The man previously faced an assault charge, but will now be facing a homicide charge, the NYPD said.
