NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police are investigating a man who died after he walked into a hospital in Brooklyn with a gunshot wound Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 2:37 p.m., police responded to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center for a walk-in of a 45-year-old man who had been transported by private means with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
He was later identified by police as Gamaliel Oliver, an East New York resident.
Oliver was subsequently pronounced dead by hospital staff.
There have been no arrests made at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
