NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man died days after he was found injured in Brooklyn last month, and police said Tuesday they've deemed his death a homicide.
At approximately 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, police responded to a 911 call of a man assaulted in front of 3041 Avenue W in Sheepshead Bay.
Upon arrival, officers observed 35-year-old Shannal Mitchell, unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma to the head.
EMS transported Mitchell to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in serious condition.
He died from his injuries on Tuesday, July 11.
The incident has been deemed a homicide.
There have been no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
