NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man escaped NYPD custody on Wednesday, just days after he allegedly went on a naked, and possibly drug-fueled, joyride down the Hudson River on a stolen boat.

Stephen Blasetti, 36, escaped cops at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia in Washington Heights around 6:40 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

It’s unclear exactly how he slipped away, though he may have put on a lab coat and disguised himself as a doctor, according to police.

Blasetti had been taken to the hospital following Saturday’s wild incident, in which he allegedly stole a dinghy from the Dyckman Marina in Inwood around 12 p.m. and went on a joyride down the Hudson.

He then ditched the dinghy and ended up on a catamaran near the George Washington Bridge, police said. He was ultimately arrested by the NYPD’s Harbor Unit.

Investigators believe he was high on drugs during the spree, possibly methamphetamine. He’d been at the hospital ever since for an evaluation as he awaits arraignment.

He faces charges of grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and reckless endangerment for the theft.
