Philadelphia man faces gun charge after getting out of car, dancing in Times Square: report

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 28-year-old Philadelphia man was reportedly arrested after police noticed a handgun sticking out of his pants as he danced in Times Square early Sunday morning.

Dominique Qadir started dancing in the street at W. 46th Street and Seventh Avenue around 4 a.m. as music blasted from his Volkswagen Jetta, police told the New York Post.

Officers from the NYPD Times Square Unit came over and noticed a M1911 handgun hanging out of the right pocket of his pants, police said.

Qadir was arrested without incident by the officers, according to the report.

He faces charges of criminal possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
