NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Authorities launched an investigation after one man was fatally shot and another critically injured in a Bronx shooting on Tuesday night.
At approximately 9:50 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of two people shot in the vicinity of Morris Avenue and East Fordham Road in Fordham Heights.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 33-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his stomach and right armpit and a 38-year-old man who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body in front of 2449 Morris Ave.
EMS responded and transported both victims to Saint Barnabas Hospital where the 33-year-old man was pronounced dead. The 38-year-old man is listed in critical but stable condition.
There have been no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
