NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Detectives are searching for a gunman following a fatal shooting in front of a deli in Queens Tuesday evening.
It happened just after 6:40 p.m. in front of 289 Beach 14th St. in Far Rockaway. Officers responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired and discovered a 24-year-old man on the sidewalk who had been repeatedly shot in the torso and arm.
The victim was transported via private vehicle to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in critical condition and later died.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim, pending the notification of his family.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
