NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 29-year-old man was shot and killed near a NYCHA housing complex in Queens on Tuesday afternoon—less than two weeks after a woman was fatally struck by a bullet a block away, police said.
Elliot Clairborne, of Queens, was shot at Broadway and 49th Street, near the Woodside Houses in Woodside, around 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to police.
Officers responding to a 911 call found Clairborne unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds to his lower body.

He was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said no arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.

Less than two weeks ago, on the night of March 12, a 37-year-old woman was shot one block away at 48th Street and Broadway. Police said she was a bystander who was hit by crossfire.
