NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was fatally shot outside a Bronx deli on Monday, police confirmed to 1010 WINS.
Officers responded to the scene around 7 a.m. at M&A Gourmet Deli in Morris Heights, where they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The man was unconscious and transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:53 a.m., according to police. The victim's identity has not been released.
The suspect fled the scene, leaving behind a single shell casing.
The investigation is ongoing.
