NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Officials are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Monday morning in Brooklyn.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation just before 3 a.m. on June 7, at the Langston Hughes Houses located at 337 Sutter Avenue in the Brownsville section.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 31-year-old man lying in front of 335 Sutter Avenue, with gunshot wounds to the left shoulder and chest.
EMS transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
