Man fatally stabbed, another slashed in neck during Inwood street fight

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating after one man was slashed and another fatally stabbed during a large street fight in Upper Manhattan early Monday morning.

Just before 3:30 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a person slashed inside 421 West 202 St. in Inwood.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 28-year-old man with a slash wound to the neck. EMS transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition.

At approximately 4:14 a.m. while on the scene, officers were informed that a 31-year-old man sustained a stab wound to the shoulder.

EMS transported him to NYC Health + Hospital/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification.
