NEW YORK (1010 WINS/ WCBS 880) -- The NYPD is searching for an attacker after a man was repeatedly stabbed and killed in an apartment in Harlem on Sunday afternoon.
At approximately 12:19 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a person stabbed inside of a residence in the vicinity of East 132nd Street and Madison Avenue, officials said.
Upon arrival, officers were informed that 47-year-old Michael Smith had been stabbed multiple times by an unidentified person who fled the location to parts unknown.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem where he was pronounced dead.
There have been no arrests made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
