NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Authorities are investigating after a man was fatally stabbed on a Brooklyn street Monday afternoon.
Police responded to a 911 call of a male stabbed at the intersection of Hart Street and Knickerbocker Avenue in Bushwick at approximately 3 p.m. on March 22.
According to officials, the unidentified suspect stabbed 24-year-old Jose Perez Rivera several times in the chest and arm.
EMS rushed Rivera to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst Hospital by first responders, where he was pronounced dead, the NYPD said.
Police took a 21-year-old man into custody at the scene.
Officials early Tuesday said he had not been charged.
An investigation remains ongoing.
