NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 46-year-old man was fatally struck by a piece of construction equipment in Brooklyn on Monday morning, police said.

The FDNY said authorities responded to a call for a person trapped under a heavy machine at 1 Java Street in Greenpoint at 9:11 a.m.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Department of Buildings is investigating.
It's unclear at this time what caused the incident to occur.
