NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two suspects have been taken into custody after a 59-year-old man was beaten to death with a baton inside a Bushwick bodega on Monday night.
According to police, at approximately 7:05 p.m. officers responded to a 911 call reporting an assault at 193 Knickerbocker Ave.
Upon arrival, they discovered Gerry Hill unconscious and unresponsive.
Authorities said a fight broke out between two people in the bodega.
EMS transported Hill to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation is ongoing.
