NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man got into a fight with a Manhattan coffee vendor after throwing a plant at his cart, according to a report.
A witness told the New York Post the man pulled a bush out of a planter near Astor Place and Lafayette Street in NoHo on Friday morning, walked up to the vendor’s cart and hurled the shrub at it.
“The plant exploded everywhere,” the witness told the outlet. “Dirt all over the floor.”
The vendor yelled at the man for throwing the plant, at which point the two got into a fight, the witness said.
“They twirl in circles, hitting each other in the head,” the witness said, according to the outlet. “The guy who threw the plant falls on the ground.”
Video from the scene shows the man approaching the cart with the plant. Police took the man into custody not long after, the outlet reported. A second video from the scene shows them loading him into an ambulance.
The NYPD couldn’t provide the Post with any details about the incident, but confirmed that an assault was reported at the location around 7:40 a.m.
