NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 19-year-old man was found dead between two train cars at a Queens subway station on Tuesday night, and police believe he may have slipped while riding between the cars.

The victim, who is from Queens but hasn’t been publicly identified, was found by NYPD officers responding to a 911 call at the Sutphin Boulevard–Archer Avenue station in Jamaica.

The officers arrived at the station just after 9 p.m. to find the victim unconscious and bleeding from his head between two cars of an E train.

Investigators believe he was moving between the cars when he slipped and fatally hit his head.

The fall appears to be accidental, and no criminality is suspected, police said.

EMS rushed him to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The medical examiner will work to determine his cause of death.
