NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are investigating the death of a man found in the hallway of a Bronx building with slash and gunshot wounds early Friday, authorities said.
Shortly after midnight, police responded to a 911 call of a man shot inside of 1221 Sheridan Avenue in the Concourse neighborhood.
Upon arrival, officers observed 33-year-old Anthony Laster lying face down in a first-floor hallway, unconscious and unresponsive, with gunshot wounds to the back, head, and left arm as well as slash wounds to the back and head.
EMS transported Laster to Lincoln Hospitals, where he was pronounced dead.
There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
