NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted and robbed a woman on the Lower East Side this week, grabbing her chest and privates before running off with her purse.
The NYPD released images Wednesday of a suspect, who is believed to be between 30 and 40 years old.
The 21-year-old victim was walking on Jefferson Street, near Henry Street, shortly after 11:30 p.m. Sunday when the man walked up and grabbed her breasts, police said.
He then pushed her to the ground and touched her private parts, according to police.
After grabbing her purse, he fled northbound on Jefferson Street.
He was last seen wearing a black winter coat with a fur hood, black pants, black and white sneakers, a baseball cap and eyeglasses.
The victim was not physically injured, police said.
