NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police are searching for a man who's been sucker-punching women in the face on subway trains and platforms in Brooklyn in recent weeks.
The NYPD released images Wednesday of the suspect, who's wanted in three attacks in late October and a fourth in November.
The most recent attack was last Friday morning, when a 53-year-old woman was punched repeatedly at the Flatbush Avenue–Brooklyn College station East Flatbush. The victim was on a northbound 2 train at the station when the man stormed up, yelled at her and pummeled her face, police said.
That attack came four days after a 24-year-old woman was slugged at the Hoyt Street station in Downtown Brooklyn. The victim was waiting on a 4 platform at 6:20 a.m. on Oct. 31 when the man walked up and punched her in the face, according to cops.
Just three days before that, on Oct. 28, a 32-year-old woman was boarding a 3 train at the Hoyt Street station around 12 p.m. when the man approached and punched her in the face, police said.
Four hours before assaulting the 32-year-old woman, the same man allegedly punched a 46-year-old woman in the head and face on an R train at the Bay Ridge–95th Street station.
None of the victims were seriously injured, police said, though the 46-year-old victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition. The other three victims declined further medical attention.
No property was stolen during the unprovoked attacks, according to police.
