NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man headbutted one NYPD officer and spat on another—and also spat on an MTA worker—as he was kicked off a subway train in the Bronx on Thursday, police said.

The 44-year-old suspect was ejected from a 6 train at the Third Avenue–138th Street station in Mott Haven around 2:15 a.m., police said.

As the two officers were escorting him off the train, the man became enraged when his foot became stuck in the space between the train and the platform.

He angrily headbutted one officer and spat on the other, police said. An MTA worker came over to help and was also spat on.

The suspect was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer.

At least one of the injured officers was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln.
