Man hurled anti-Jewish insults, kicked in door of Brooklyn school bus

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man yelled antisemitic remarks at a Brooklyn school bus last month before kicking in the door of the vehicle, and police released photos of the suspect on Wednesday to help in his apprehension.

The incident took place on Election Day at about 3:30 p.m. in front of Tomer Devorah Elementary School, a private all-girls Jewish school located at 4502 9th Ave. on the border of Sunset Park and Borough Park.

The suspect approached a yellow school bus belonging to the school, hurled antisemitic insults and kicked in the bus door’s glass window, causing about $350 worth of damages. No injuries were reported.

Police said that the man then fled on foot down 9th Avenue toward 48th Street. Officials are investigating the incident as an act of criminal mischief.
