NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 28-year-old man was robbed and then fatally shot as he sat in his car in upper Manhattan on Thursday, police said Sunday as they searched for two suspects.
The NYPD released images Sunday of two men they're searching for in connection with the killing.
Police said the victim was sitting in his car near Sherman Avenue and W. 204th Street in Inwood at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday when two men came up and pulled a gun on him.
The men stole the man's jewelry and then one of them shot him in the body, police said.
EMS transported the victim to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was later identified as Joel Vasquez of Manhattan.
