NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a suspect accused of tackling and robbing a woman on a Chelsea street last week while wearing pajamas.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30, a 41-year-old woman was using her cellphone in the vicinity of 10th Avenue and West 17th Street, when the suspect tackled her from behind, officials said.
A physical altercation ensued, and the suspect forcibly took her personal property, authorities said.
The victim sustained cuts and scrapes to her face, nose, and eyes and she refused medical attention.
The suspect is believed to be approximately 16 to 20 years old, according to police.
