NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man in a bright red ski mask knocked a 64-year-old woman to the ground and stole her phone in the Flatiron District on Monday morning, police said Tuesday as they released photos of the suspect.

The victim was walking at East 19th Street and Fifth Avenue shortly before 7:30 a.m. when her masked attacker crept up from behind and forced her to the ground, according to cops.

She dropped her phone while falling, and the thief quickly grabbed the device and took off, police said. He was last seen headed southbound on Fifth Avenue.

The victim suffered injuries to her face and hands. EMS transported her to Lenox Health Greenwich Village, where she was in stable condition.
