NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Queens man has been indicted for fatally stabbing a woman in her Bronx apartment with her children nearby, District Attorney Darcel Clark announced Wednesday.

Lamont Wilson, 46, of 101st Street, was indicted on second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

According to the investigation, at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 6, 2024, Wilson went to an apartment at 1479 Macombs Rd. in Highbridge where Britney Webb, 38, lived with her three children.

Wilson got into an argument with Webb who then locked herself and her 5-year-old daughter in a bedroom while her other children were asleep in another room, authorities said.

Wilson then burst through the door and allegedly stabbed Webb with a knife 15 times, prosecutors allege.

Wilson fled and was arrested in a nearby building.

He was remanded and is due back in court on May 13.

"The defendant, who was a friend of the victim, allegedly attacked her during a dispute, stabbing her multiple times with her three young children in the apartment. This was a brutal crime for which the defendant now faces justice." D.A. Clark said.
