Man kicked onto Brooklyn subway tracks during fight with fellow straphanger: sources

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 55-year-old man was kicked onto the tracks at a Brooklyn subway station during a fight with another commuter, sources told 1010 WINS.

The incident happened at the Jay Street-MetroTech station in Downtown Brooklyn at about 11:35 p.m., according to police,

The victim got into a fight with another man on the platform, during which the suspect kicked him twice in the legs, causing him to fall on the tracks, sources said.

The victim suffered a laceration to the head and was transported to a local area hospital in stable condition, officials said.

Police described the suspect they're searching for as a man in his 40s who was last seen wearing a black jacket and a gray hoodie.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
