NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — One person is in custody after a shooting in front of a Brooklyn restaurant left one man dead and another critical Sunday evening, authorities said.
Just before 6 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired at 2961 Fulton St. in Cypress Hills. Upon arrival, police discovered two men — ages 30 and 50 — suffering from multiple gunshot wounds across their bodies.
EMS rushed both men to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center where the 30-year-old victim was pronounced dead. The 50-year-old victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.
A person of interest was taken into custody shortly after the incident.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
