NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Officials are investigating after one man was fatally shot and another wounded early Friday morning, according to authorities.
Just before 3 a.m., on December 3, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress inside 42 Brighton Court in the Gravesend neighborhood.
Upon arrival, officers observed two men with gunshot wounds.
The first victim - a 46-year-old man was observed with gunshot wounds to the abdomen, and the second victim, a 30-year-old man, was observed with a gunshot wound to the right leg, authorities said.
EMS transported the first victim to Coney Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The second victim was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, in stable condition.
There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
