
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police arrested a 15-year-old Saturday in relation to a double stabbing that occurred Thursday night at a Lower East Side park, authorities said.
Officials discovered Pasquale Alonso, 25, stabbed in the chest, and a 24-year-old man knifed in the torso just after 8:30 p.m. inside Sara D. Roosevelt Park near Delancey and Broome streets.
Both men were rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, the NYPD said.
Alonso, who was homeless, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The 24-year-old man remains in stable condition.
The 15-year-old teen was arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder, attempted assault and assault. His identity was not released.
