NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are investigating the death of a man killed in back-to-back crashes on a Queens expressway ramp on Christmas eve, authorities announced Thursday.

NYPD officials determined that just before 9 a.m., a Mercedes-Benz GLS450 driven by a 39-year-old woman, was traveling northbound on the exit ramp when it collided with a barrier on the Clearview Expressway at the westbound Long Island Expressway entrance in Bayside.

A Hyundai Sonata driven by 56-year-old Arsen Aronov then collided with the Mercedes, authorities said.

Both motorists exited their vehicles to inspect damages when a Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 24-year-old woman, collided with Aronov.

EMS transported Aronov to New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.

The drivers remained on scene and no arrests have been made.

The investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD's Highway District Collision Investigation Squad.
