NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is investigating after a man was beaten and knocked unconscious in an unprovoked attack that occurred earlier this month inside a Brooklyn housing development, authorities said.
According to police, at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8, a 58-year-old man was approached inside of the Langston Hughes NYCHA development in Brownsville by a suspect that began punching him multiple times, unprovoked.

The physical altercation moved from the inside of the lobby to outside, where a second suspect then approached the victim and punched him one time in the back of the head, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground.
The victim fell unconscious due to the severity of his injuries and fall.
The suspects fled the location on foot into the rear of the housing development.
EMS responded and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.
Officials released footage of one of the suspects being sought.
