Man leads girl to secluded area in the Bronx to perform lewd act: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man led a girl to a secluded area of the Bronx on Thursday morning and performed a lewd act in front of her, police said as detectives searched for a suspect.

The 13-year-old girl was walking to school around 8:30 a.m. when the man approached her in the area of East 233rd Street and Wilder Avenue in the Edenwald section.

He led her to a secluded area nearby and performed the lewd act before running off, police said.

The girl was not physically harmed during the encounter, according to police.

No arrests have been reported as the investigation continues.
