NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police on Thursday released a photo of a man accused of being part of a group that allegedly attempted to rob teen boys after an argument on a Queens street last month.
At approximately 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, a group of six suspects approached a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy in front of 165-65 84th Ave. in Jamaica Hills.
According to officials, the suspects were in a verbal dispute with the 15-year-old boy when the 17-year-old boy intervened. Acting in concert, the suspects attempted to steal the 17-year-old boy's wallet.
Police apprehended five suspects at the scene and the sought suspect fled on a black moped, to parts unknown.
The 17-year-old boy sustained injuries to his face and refused medical attention. The 15-year-old male was not injured.
