NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was pistol-whipped and nearly robbed at a Times Square hotel by a man he met on a dating website, police said Thursday as they released an image of a suspect.
The suspect attacked the 30-year-old victim around 4:25 a.m. Sunday at the Motto by Hilton on West 48th Street, according to cops.
He allegedly struck the victim on the head with a gun and tried to steal his headphones but was unsuccessful. He then fled the hotel and headed westbound on Seventh Avenue, police said.
EMS transported the victim to Mount Sinai West in stable condition.
