NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who punched an older woman and 10-year-old child after the kid’s skateboard struck him as they passed one another in Chinatown on Sunday.

It happened at about 7:25 a.m. near East Broadway and Market Street, officials said.

A 71-year-old woman was crossing the street with a 10-year-old boy when the child’s skateboard came into contact with the stranger.

Police said that the suspect then started a verbal argument with the pair before punching both victims in the face.

The older woman sustained a laceration to the lip and the child suffered pain and redness to the face. Medics took them to NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect—last seen wearing a multicolored coat, blue jeans and white sneakers—fled in an unknown direction.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-577-TIPs (8477).
