NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man sucker punched a woman as she walked in Brooklyn and then sexually assaulted and robbed her as she lied on the ground, police said Wednesday as they released images of a suspect.

The 18-year-old victim was walking in the area of Dean Street and Rockaway Boulevard in Ocean Hill around 12:35 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, when she was attacked, according to the NYPD.

A man crept up behind her and sucker punched her in the head, causing her to fall to the ground, police said.

As she was lying on the ground, he put his hand under her clothing and forcibly touched her private area, according to police.

He stole her phone and fled eastbound on Dean Street, police said.

EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where she was treated for her physical injuries.
