NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man punched a 72-year-old woman to the ground at a Manhattan subway station this week, police said Friday as they released a surveillance image of the suspect.
The woman was leaving the Lexington Avenue/59th St. station on the border of midtown and the Upper East Side when the man came up to her at 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
Police said the man struck the woman in the head with his hand, causing her to fall to the ground.
EMS responded and transported the woman to an area hospital in stable condition. Police said she had a contusion over her right eye and bruising to her body.
