NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man randomly hit a 32-year-old woman in the head on a Bronx sidewalk in an attack that was caught on surveillance video, the NYPD said Tuesday.
The woman was walking on Southern Boulevard, near Jennings Street, around 10:25 a.m. on Nov. 28 when a man she didn't know approached her and slapped her in the face, police said.
The attack injured the woman's head, the NYPD said. She was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
Police are now searching for her attacker, an approximately 25- to 30-year-old man who was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and carrying a handbag.
