NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An attacker randomly punched a 12-year-old boy as he sat on a sidewalk curb in Brooklyn, knocking him unconscious and breaking several bones in his face, the NYPD said Monday.
The boy was waiting for a friend at the corner of East 13th Street and Avenue T in Sheepshead Bay around 3:10 p.m. on Oct. 14 when a man approached him from behind and punched him in the face, police said.
The attack knocked the boy out and left him bleeding, with bruising and fractures to his facial bones, the NYPD said.
The man, who police say is approximately 20 to 30 years old, walked away after the attack, surveillance video shows.
