
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was repeatedly stabbed in the head aboard a 1 train in Upper Manhattan on Monday morning, police said.
The attack happened shortly after 6 a.m. aboard a downtown train at the West 145th Street station in Harlem.
Officers responding to the train car found the victim, 56, had been stabbed multiple times on the top of his head, apparently as he slept, police said.
He was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition.
Sources told 1010 WINS that a male was in custody and that a knife was recovered at the scene.
The investigation was ongoing Monday.
