NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released surveillance images Wednesday of a suspect wanted in connection to the beating of a man with a baseball bat in the Upper West Side this week.
The 24-year-old victim was walking near West End Avenue and West 107th Street at about 10:35 p.m. on Sunday when a stranger approached.
The assailant then struck the victim multiple times in the face with a baseball bat. Medics took him to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition.
Authorities said that the suspect—described as a 5 foot 8 inches tall man with a slim build and light complexion—fled west toward Riverside Park.
The suspect was last seen clad in all black and carrying a black baseball bat, police said.
