The NYPD released images showing the suspect—a man in his 30s riding a black scooter.
The victim was in her home near 77th Street and 21st Avenue in Bensonhurst shortly before noon Wednesday, when the man climbed inside through an open window and started rummaging through her belongings, police said.
When she confronted the home invader, he whipped out a pair of scissors and threatened her with them, according to police.
He stole $40 from her pocketbook and then hopped on his scooter and fled on East 77th Street.
The victim was not physically injured in the robbery.
