NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was shot in the leg and another was critically injured in separate attacks in Manhattan overnight, police said.
The wounded victim was struck in the right leg on 10th Avenue and West 207th Street in Inwood at 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
Cops are looking for five men who fled the scene northbound on 10th Avenue.
According to police, around the same time, a man in his 60s was punched in the face with a closed fist at 9th Avenue and West 29th Street in Chelsea.
He was knocked to the ground in the freezing cold and was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in critical condition.
The puncher also remains at large, police said.
It wasn't immediately clear what sparked both assaults.
