NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 14-year-old boy was shot in the left leg and a 16-year-old grazed by a bullet inside the Kings Plaza Shopping Center in Brooklyn on Monday afternoon, police said.

The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. Monday when two groups of males were shopping at a sneaker store on the first floor of the mall when a dispute erupted, police said.
The injured males were part of a group of three that got into an argument with a group of six other males in the store, authorities said. A male from the group of six fired shots in the store. The 14-year-old was hit by a bullet in the leg and the 16-year-old suffered a graze wound.
The 14-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition. Neither of the victim's injuries are life threatening.
The shooter and two other males immediately fled the scene following the incident, police said.
Canvassing officers picked up three males who fit the description in the vicinity of Avenue O and East 53rd street in Brooklyn. Two guns were recovered during the stop, police said.
The three males who were stopped are currently in police custody with pending charges for the shooting as well as for weapons possession.
Police said they believe the shooter is around 19-years-old.
